Weighted Blankets provide deep pressure all over the body and can be very calming. When used correctly they can be a powerful addition to anyone's sensory tool box.
Our weighted blankets are carefully hand crafted right here in Melbourne. These blue small weighted blankets are approximately 1 m x 1 m. Small blankets are best suited to younger children. Blankets are filled with Poly Pellets and so are washable.
Occupational Therapists recommend that blankets be no more than 5 - 10 % of a person's body weight, so please take this into careful consideration when thinking about selecting a blanket. If you're looking for a weighted blanket for a toddler, the small size is generally best suited. Alternatively, you might like to consider a weighted lap blanket.

"This blanket was specifically weighted for my son, and hand made to suit his body weight. Since having it, we have noticed him use it whilst watching TV and reading. We have also taken it to the movies with us and it supported him to feel secure and calm the ENTIRE movie! No fidgeting, no restless legs and no jumping up and moving around. We couldn’t recommend it more for any child, however, specifically any child needing support sitting still, who had anxiety or focusing! Bravo"
